After 20 years of Rinzai Zen training under Shodo Harada Roshi who is the successor of Yamada Mumon Roshi.

It is our responsibility to pass on the good aspects of the teaching.

But also to look at what needs change according to time and culture.

Our intention, out of respect for our ancestors, is to keep what there is alive.

To maintain the sincerity. But as time and things change, it is up to us to go with that flow and adjust.

Without loosing the essence and meaning of the teaching. Not just to take over some old routine.

But to keep the teaching and the way of teaching fresh, alive and up to date in accordance

with time and place. Only because of individual efforts, this can become a place of essence.

We have been offered this wonderful place with its many opportunities.
